Loadmaster Custom Aluminum Trailers has been family-owned and operated for more than 35 years, proudly designing and building custom aluminum boat trailers one at a time with a level of craftsmanship, care, and attention to detail that you can truly trust. What began as a simple idea rooted in necessity has grown into one of the most respected names in custom aluminum trailers in the marine industry.

The company was founded by Ben Worthy, who originally owned and operated Worthy Marine. Through years of hands-on experience in the boating world, Ben saw firsthand a growing problem: there simply weren’t enough high-quality aluminum trailers on the market that met his standards—or the standards of serious boat owners. Frustrated by what was available and unwilling to compromise on quality, Ben decided to take matters into his own hands.

In 1987, he started building trailers in his garage, crafting each one by hand with a clear and uncompromising goal: to build the best aluminum boat trailer on the market. From the very beginning, it was never about cutting corners or producing trailers as fast as possible. It was about doing things the right way—using better materials, better designs, and better workmanship.

That same spirit and commitment to excellence lives on today.

Loadmaster is now led by Pam Paulsen, Ben’s daughter, who serves as Owner and President, alongside Aaron Paulsen, Ben’s grandson, who is Vice President and Head of Operations. Together, they continue to carry forward Ben’s vision and legacy, ensuring that every trailer that leaves the facility reflects the same standards of quality, pride, and integrity that the company was founded on.

Every Loadmaster trailer is still hand-crafted with care, using only premium marine-grade materials and proven construction methods. Because we do not mass-produce trailers, we maintain complete control over every step of the process—from design and fabrication to fit and finish. This allows us to ensure that each trailer meets not only our own high standards, but also the expectations of customers who rely on their equipment every time they hit the road or the water.
